Estiatorio Milos a renowned industry leader of fine dining in Greek cuisine is currently looking for a Sommelier to join our New York team.

Reporting to the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager, the Sommelier will curate an exceptional wine selection and provide personalized recommendations to our guests while upholding the highest standards of service.

What you will do as a Sommelier

• Curate and manage the wine selection to complement the menu offerings
• Provide wine recommendations based on guests' preferences and food choices
• Ensure proper storage and handling of wines to maintain quality
• Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and customers
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairings for special events or tasting menus
• Stay updated on industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for wine supplies as needed

Here is what we are looking for

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining restaurant
• WSET certification is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of different grape varieties, regions, and vintages
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction
• Experience in food and beverage service, including meal preparation and food handling
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling
• Previous experience in a restaurant setting or related hospitality roles
• Ability to assist in bartending duties when needed
• Proficiency in cashiering and handling transactions with attention to detail

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 46 per week
