At Revelry Vintners we create wines with a sense of place, in one of the most exciting wine growing regions in the world. Specializing in both Bordeaux and Rhone grape varieties, and with elite sourcing across the Columbia Valley, the winery is both incredibly diverse with over 20 different lots and extremely focused on quality. Our winery is an architectural award-winning facility, constructed in 2018, and is situated on 20-acres of beautiful farm land in the Walla Walla valley. It is an exceptional setting in which to craft our wines and share them with our friends and patrons. In 2020 we set a Washington wine record, when 12 bottles of our D11 Cabernet Sauvignon sold at auction for a staggering $105,000. Its an exciting time to be a part of Revelry Vintners.

With distribution partners strategically located in 25 North American markets, we are seeking an innovative, self-starting individual to enhance our already dynamic winery and brand. In this role you will work to further our existing momentum in these markets, while having a great amount of autonomy in expanding our sales channels into new markets domestically as well as internationally!

NATIONAL SALES MANGER

This person will be the responsible for the execution of our sales goals. As part of the sales team, the National Sales Manager is a critical player in the future of the Revelry brand. This position is responsible for achieving sales results across product lines, and working largely on the ground in the market with our valued distributor partners and on and off premise customers.

Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 4 years wine/spirits industry sales experience as a supplier, wholesaler, or buyer with manager level experience. This person should have a working knowledge US wine markets, deal structures related to this industry, and a passion for people a travel. They must also possess and in depth knowledge of wine, and the wine industry. This position requires a demonstrated history of success in achieving sales forecasts, building growth and revenue; an ability to work independently; excellent communication, presentation, customer service, planning/organizational, and negotiation skills; a detail oriented, results driven individual.

-Applications should have a working knowledge of the marketplace, include key accounts, and share relationships with those buyers.

-The ideal candidate would be based in the Pacific Northwest, though the right individual may live elsewhere.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as National Sales Representative is to stay in constant contact with all assigned distributor sales managers, sales representatives, brand managers, and their key customers. Your success in this position, you will find, hinges on the quality and frequency of information passed between you and these contacts. They are our sales network in the field. It is therefore critical that you are taking advantage of each and every one of those individuals representing our distributorships and their network of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of National Sales Manager requires constant contact with all assigned distributor sales managers, sales representatives, brand managers, and their key customers. Success in this position hinges on the quality and frequency of information shared between these partners. Beyond managing these relationships expectations are as follows:

•  Working independently and with our distribution partners, grow PODs of Revelry Vintners wines

•  Regular market travel.

•  Design and coordinate DTC events in the market to deepen our connection to the consumer.

•  Work with market sales managers to coordinate pricing and programming on a quarterly basis.

•  Work with sales reps in each market on a ride-with basis to introduce brand to individual and regional chain account buyers.

•  Design and execution of sales goals and strategy

•  Formally report the status of activity to the sales manager with an outline of actions for the week ahead.

•  Monitor ‘Weekly Sales Update’ activity for purchases by market

•  Check inventory levels by market. It is our goal to have adequate stock of ALL items in every market.

•  Review depletion data by market for accounts sold, sales rep. activity levels, off vs. on premise account activity and opportunities for the future.

•  Review and approve sample billbacks by market.

•  Meet and exceed monthly sales goals by market.

•  Participate in Generation of Annual Sales Forecasting by Market, and the design of any and all associated marketing programs, incentives, etc.

PROFFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a demonstrated history of success in building and exceeding sales forecasts, building growth and revenue; an ability to work independently; excellent communication, presentation, customer service, planning/organizational, and negotiation skills; a detail oriented, results driven individual. This individual must have experience in pricing scheme design, blended margin calculation over extended periods of time and relative to a greater sales and marketing plan.

Proven skills of program and budget development, implementation, management and strategic decision making.

•  Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience.

•  A minimum of 4 years wine/spirits industry sales experience as a supplier, or wholesaler having been involved or responsible for management level duties and responsibilities.

•  A working knowledge of the US wine markets and deal structures related to the industry.

•  A passion for people a travel.

•  Flexible schedule.

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•  Must be well organized with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be flexible to changes in the wine industry.
