Hospitality Associate
A beautifully restored century-old farm, in the rolling foothills of Walla Walla's Blue Mountains, provides the setting for extraordinary winemaking and world-class hospitality. Abeja seeks a full-time Hospitality Associate to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
These responsibilities demonstrate the core aptitudes of the desired candidate. The scope of work may be modified and/or expanded at the company’s discretion.
- Provide exceptional experiences, with first class service, to guests and members
- Communicate with precision, clarity and hospitality through personal interactions and correspondence by phone and email, to cultivate lasting relationships
- Effectively convey the wines, story, history, membership and product knowledge with confidence, passion and enthusiasm
- Approach challenges with courtesy, professionalism and poise; able to prioritize and proactively follow-through to a mutual resolution
- Collaborate with planning, setup and cleanup of on-site tastings and special events
- Handle transactions and reservations with accuracy, efficiently and fluidly
- Assist with order preparation and shipping

- Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or the equivalent
- Two years of experience in winery DTC role such as hospitality, tasting room, sales and service or the equivalent; experience with a luxury brand is preferred
- Knowledge of wine & wine production
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Ability to work long and/or irregular hours during peak season and/or special events Ability to learn and understand multiple systems
- Ability to adhere to company workplace guidelines including dress code
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
The position is hourly and rate will be determined by qualifications.
