Job Description
Croma Vera Wines is a tiny (but mighty) winery with an urban tasting room in San Luis Obispo's newest beverage district, Duncan Alley. We specialize in Spanish-inspired wines crafted from premium grapes grown on California's Central Coast. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, entrepreneurial, and hands-on Tasting Room Manager who is passionate about helping our tasting room grow and thrive.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a hospitality heart with a friendly, engaging, and outgoing personality.
- Enjoys providing wine tastings, education, and conversing with guests at various levels in their wine journey.
- Is motivated and takes ownership of the tasting room’s success.
- Has a strong background in tasting room operations.

- Is detail-oriented with solid customer service and sales skills.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver seated wine tastings and education to guests.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Create an engaging and educational experience for guests, sharing the brand story and wines of Croma Vera.
- Manage the tasting room and 1-2 part-time team members.
- Develop and implement creative programs to achieve sales goals.
- Maintain up-to-date tasting room menus and promotional materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with wine club members, assisting with retention activities.
- Manage inventory of wine and tasting room supplies.
- Plan and execute events, including member pick-ups and special events.
- Handle sales reporting and administrative tasks.
- Pack and ship orders.
- Manage the wine club and customer service.
- Participate in Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) management meetings.
Position Requirements
- Intermediate or better level of wine knowledge
- Full-time availability, including most weekends (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon)
- Previous experience in tasting room operations is required
- Proficient with Google Docs
- Familiarity with any POS system
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
- Responsible beverage service (RBS) certification
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
- Ability to stand for 6-8 hours

Compensation
We offer a highly competitive salary, which depends on your qualifications and experience. Our salary package includes:
- Base salary: $60-$68K salary DOE + tips and incentives
- Tips from customer and club sign-up bonuses (approximately $8K-12K per year based on historical trends)
- Enjoy five paid holidays, and accrue up to 2 weeks of vacation annually
- Paid sick time off: up to 6 days
