Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

The Position: We are seeking part-time tasting room sales associates with a commitment to customer service and proven track record in sales. If you are hardworking, outgoing and friendly, a team player, and possess a passion for the wine industry, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities / Duties:
+Successful completion of orientation and training
+Prepare the tasting room for opening and closing daily
+Stock wine at start and end of shift
+Welcome and acknowledge guests to the BRV Tasting Room
+Provide excellent customer service
+Educate guests about our wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history
+Promote benefits of BRV Wine Club and actively sign up new members
+Build and maintain lasting relationships with guests and club members
+Perform sales transactions and customer entry using Wine Direct POS system
+Maintain tasting room and outside patio cleanliness.
+Assist with set-up and participate in events (onsite and offsite) as needed.
+Other duties as assigned by manager/follow all company policies and procedures.
+Maintain satisfactory attendance, including punctuality

Qualifications / Skills:
+A passion for people and providing exceptional hospitality
+Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
+Positive attitude and the ability to multi-task
+Must enjoy working with and adding to a team environment
+Enthusiasm about wine and the desire to learn about it
+At least 1 year of tasting room associate experience or comparable customer service experience
+A strong understanding of Central Coast wine country, including the local vineyards, unique AVAs and terroirs of the region, and the differences between them.
+Must be at least 21 years old.
+Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
+Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8hrs)
+Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Compensation: Hourly, DOE + tips & commission - NO medical, dental or vision benefits.
