Tooth and Nail Winery is located in Paso Robles, CA off of Highway 46. Our tasting room is set inside the estate castle on Anderson Road. Our wines are comprised mainly from grapes that are grown in our Murmur Vineyard (Santa Maria Valley) and Mossfire Ranch Vineyard (Eastside Paso Robles). We are proud to craft and present four labels under the Rabble Wine Company Umbrella: Rabble, Tooth & Nail, Stasis and Amor Fati. 

POSITION SUMMARY
At Tooth and Nail we embrace being Unique. The Wine Steward position is responsible for ensuring that visitors to Tooth and Nail have an unforgettable time at the castle. As a Wine Steward you will provide wine tastings, company background/education and conversation to all customers who are interested in learning about what we do. We love to connect with people and share our many passions: exceptional wines, our beautiful community of Paso Robles, and our unconventional way of doing things. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following reflects the essential functions for this job. Other tasks may be assigned as we grow and explore new initiatives. Duties include, but are not limited to:

-Greet all visitors that come through the front doors. Some may come to taste, others may come to look at the castle. We make sure all have an exceptional time regardless of their interest in wine. 
-Lead guests through wine tasting flights if desired – educating them about the Rabble story, wines, and brands. Ensure a fun and memorable customer experience for all. 
-Work towards developing relationships with guests and explore the potential of them becoming Wine Club members

-Daily Tasting Room Operations:
-Set up / breaking down the tasting room bar, patios, etc.
-Open and verify wines are good to pour 
-Make sure all printed materials and menu’s are set out, restocked as needed 
-Open/Close POS system, manage cash drawer
-Stock wine and merchandise on Tasting Room floor 
-Perform sales transactions. Pack orders for takeout or to ship if desired 
-Keep the castle clean and comfortable for guests at all times 
-Provide engaging and professional customer service with the ability to develop rapport with customers via telephone, email and in person
-Assist with monthly inventory as needed 
-Strong ability to sell wine and club memberships to all types of customers
-Represent Rabble Wine Co. at outside functions and industry events when necessary
-ability to recognize the signs that a guest should not be served alcohol and take appropriate action to address the situation. 
-Behave in a professional and mature manner at all times

EXPECTATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- NOTE: This is a part time role (1-2 days per week/weekend)
-Must have excellent knowledge of central coast wine and have prior experience in the wine industry 
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
-Enthusiastic, passionate and dynamic communication style
-Comfortable speaking in front of crowds
-Self-aware, able to work both independently and with your team 
-Must have a positive attitude and outlook with the ability to work within a team atmosphere
-Must remain calm under pressure and have confidence to ask for help when it’s needed 
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) 
-Must be at least 21 years of age 
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs 
-Must be able to work in a fast paced hospitality environment
-Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
