JACHTER FAMILY WINES
Jachter Family Wines is seeking a rising star Winemaker. This winemaker will lead all aspects of winemaking and production to uphold the highest quality standards. The role involves directing all winemaking operations, optimizing estate vineyard use, managing budgets, and ensuring the production of exceptional ultra-premium wines. The winemaker will report directly to the Co-Founder/President and collaborate closely with Viticulture, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align on strategy, quality objectives, and market positioning.

Jachter Family Wines is a family-owned and operated estate vineyard and winery located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of the Willamette Valley. Our estate vineyard embraces organic and regenerative farming practices to produce ultra-premium wines that express a true sense of place.

Who You Are
You are a high-performing Winemaker who seamlessly blends technical expertise, sensory precision, and creative vision to craft world-class wines that reflect place and vision while meeting market demands.
You possess a deep understanding of viticulture and enology, ensuring that every decision – from harvest to fermentation and aging to blending – ensures the highest possible quality and showcases the vineyard's unique characteristics.
Beyond the cellar, you thrive in collaboration, enjoy serving as a brand ambassador, and are deeply committed to sustainability.
What Your Skills Are
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Enology, Viticulture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in winemaking with leadership experience managing a team of at least three people.
• Strong understanding of luxury wine production and market positioning.
• Proven track record of producing wines at an elite competitive level (Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a history of developing high-performing teams.
• A strong commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
