Aidil Wines & Liquors is a dynamic importer and distributor of fine wines and spirits since 1984. We represent the best portfolio of Portuguese Wines and Spirits in the USA (we were granted the award of Importer of the year in 2012 by Viniportugal- the official body for the promotion of Portuguese wines abroad). Aidil Wines & Liquors also market fine wines & spirits brands from Chile, Spain, Italy and Brazil.
We have 1 opening in South New Jersey. The sales representatives should live in the respective territory.
We are seeking a professional, hard working and energetic sales representative that will be responsible for the increase of sales in the territory through developing existing customers or opening new ones, whether there are On Trade outlets (restaurants, bars, hotels) or Off Trade (Wine & Liquor stores). He/she will introduce new products; negotiate special visibility, train the staff, as well as help reduce customer’s stock with activities such as in-store tastings or wine of the month. He/she will also be responsible to follow up on invoicing, deliveries and collections.
We require:
• 2 plus years experience working in the wine industry as either a wholesale sales representative or retail shop associate.
• Knowledge of fine wines, namely Portuguese, Spanish, South American and Italian wines.
• Familiarity with on and off premise accounts in South New Jersey.
• Individuals must possess strong selling skills and excellent verbal communication/presentation skills. Exceptional organizational skills are also necessary.
• Ability to work some evenings
• Dedication to excellent customer service
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Internet.
• Knowledge of Portuguese language and culture is a plus.
The sales representative must have the ability to attend regular sales meeting at our office in Newark, NJ. The sales representative must have the ability to lift a case of wine.
