Job Description:
Reverie II and Aonair are sister wineries in the Napa Valley that take pride in making a portfolio of diverse and interesting ultra-premium offerings. The Cellar Master will be responsible for managing a smooth workflow while ensuring quality and food safety standards are met and maintained. The Cellar Master will report to the associate winemaker and winemaker, and will assist in daily planning, maintaining equipment and facility. The Cellar Master promotes company values through team collaboration, leadership, strong independent work and organization. They will participate in all aspects of winemaking with our small, tight-knit crew in our two boutique upper valley wineries, as well as our larger south Napa location. However, this job will predominantly be stationed at our Reverie II facility.

Job Description

- Manages day to day, and harvest supervision of the cellar to ensure a clean, safe, efficient, and effective work environment
- Complete the jobs requested by AM or WM in a timely, safe and professional manner
- Executes daily work schedules and assign work processes
- Supervises, trains, and develops full-time and seasonal production staff
- Competent forklift driver with ability to operate under minimal supervision
- Review and submit completed cellar orders utilizing Innovint.
- Supervise and execute both tank and barrel wine tasks. (racking, topping, blending, etc)
- Manages and ensures barrel inventories are correct and organized
- Ensures production equipment is properly maintained and operating to safety standards
- Responsible for monitoring cellar and equipment supplies
- Manages overall sanitation, appearance and safety of cellar (primarily Reverie II)
- Ensures requested samples are pulled for lab and stays abreast of sample status
- Facilitates processes related to comparison tasting and samples for additional blends
- Supports the Bottling Operator during bottling season, helping with QC, staging of materials and general work-flow.
- Prepares Reverie II Winery for harvest, and is the primary contact for the facility’s day to day.

Qualifications
- Proven success managing a small team, and operating individually.
- Ability to establish direction, obtain commitment and execute appropriate production processes
- Demonstrate strong ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to perform technical calculations, assemble data in spreadsheets and charts/graphs.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Computer literate
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and passion for wine
- Mechanically inclined
- Comfortable being in front of Reverie II guests and engaging with them about our product.

Experience:
- High school diploma required
- B.S. in Enology preferred
- 6+ years of full time cellar experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 base salary and benefits. Final compensation will be dependent on skills and experience.
