- Lead and supervise tasting room staff, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and exceed guest expectations.
- Coordinate marketing and sales efforts to drive wine club growth, promote events, and manage special projects.
- Oversee all aspects of daily tasting room operations including opening/closing, staffing, sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Design and execute training programs to ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of tasting room personnel.
- Communicate sales and marketing initiatives to staff to optimize sales and brand recognition.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and manage inventory ordering and control.
- Prepare and present reports on sales, financials, and marketing trends at management meetings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of relevant experience in winery, hospitality, or management; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions.
- Proficiency in POS systems and back-office operations.
- Basic wine knowledge preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
- Able to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills including email, Excel, Word, and basic database activity.
- Knowledge of the local Virginia wine industry preferred.
$45,000 to $55,000 Yearly (plus commission)
Full-time position with weekend availability required.
Salary commensurate with experience or hourly wage plus tips.

Weekly schedule: Thursdays to Sundays.
Off-season hours: Thursdays 1-5, Fridays 12-6, Saturdays 12-6, Sundays 12-6.
In-season hours: Thursdays 1-6, Fridays 12-7, Saturdays 12-7, Sundays 12-6.
