Neverstill Wines is a newly established, premium winery in New York, with an estate vineyard in the Finger Lakes and a tasting room in Hudson, New York. Our team is passionate about advocating for the growing New York wine region and dedicated to crafting high-quality wines that showcase the region’s unique terroir. We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Winery Sales Manager to help establish and grow our presence in the competitive wine market.

Position Overview:

The Winery Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand brand awareness, and build long-term relationships with distributors, retailers, restaurants, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) customers. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong sales acumen, industry knowledge, and a passion for wine.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in wholesale, retail, and direct-to-consumer markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wine shops, restaurants, and hospitality partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and distribution agreements to optimize sales margins.
  • Oversee and drive e-commerce and wine club sales initiatives.

Marketing & Brand Development:

  • Oversee the promotional campaigns, events, and social media strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Represent the winery at industry events, trade shows, tastings, and networking functions.
  • Develop and execute on-site and off-site tasting events to drive customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Work closely with the winemaking and production teams to align sales efforts with product availability and seasonal releases.

Operations & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state alcohol regulations.
  • Provide leadership and training to sales representatives and tasting room staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of sales experience in the wine, spirits, or beverage industry (startup experience preferred).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of wine sales, distribution networks, and marketing trends.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a small team
    • Experience with CRM systems, POS software, and e-commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. Certification (WSET, CSW, CMS) is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel throughout New York and occasionally elsewhere in the U.S.
  • Schedule: Requires flexibility including evenings and weekend

 

Salary Range 65k to 75k plus commission/bonus package
