We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and qualified hospitality professional to join our tasting room team for Domaine Roy & fils winery. We are excited to bring on a part-time team member with impeccable customer service and experience in fine dining, wine and/or luxury retail.
Domaine Roy & fils is a winery and vineyard located in Dundee, Oregon. The project started in 2012 with Marc Roy and Jared Etzel, the second generation of the Beaux Frères families and has grown to include a passionate team of wine professionals. Our mission is to produce wines of purity and transparency at the highest level from our estate properties in Dundee and Carlton.
With a focus on hosted tastings, we strive to offer a unique and engaging sit-down guest experience that reflects our identity.
TASTING ROOM ASSOCIATE
As a Tasting Room Associate, your goal will be to provide guests with a memorable experience that promotes and builds the brand in a humble and honest manner. We are currently seeking a seasonal part-time Tasting Room Associate for Saturday and Sunday, with potential for more hours during the high season (need to be available on weekends).
Responsibilities
• Broadcast our story and establish relationships with new & returning customers
• Grow client base by promoting mailing list & club enrollment
• Provide superior customer service when administering different wine tasting experiences and special events
• Thoroughly perform all tasting room opening and closing tasks which include but are not limited to: cleaning & polishing glasses, stocking, cleaning kitchen and restrooms, sweeping and more
• Process transactions through our POS system (Vin65)
• Open and pour wine in accordance with OLCC
• Assist in the stocking and organization on the service floor
• Handle guest services such as answering phone inquiries, managing appointments and phone sales
Qualifications
• Must have experience in customer service within hospitality, wine or luxury service industries
• Knowledge & understanding of wine or a passion and desire to learn
• Retail sales experience preferred, comfortable representing a luxury product
• Impeccable communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor with an outgoing personality, ability to conduct tours and host small groups
Requirements
• Modern POS proficiency (on iPads)
• Must be 21 or over with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• OLCC permit required prior to 1 day of employment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry 50 lbs
• Willing to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule
• Currently legal to work in the US
Compensation
