Lescombes Family Vineyards is looking for a full-time, experienced administrative assistant to join our team!

Pay range - $20.00 - $25.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cellar Lead should lead by example and honor the Lescombes Core Values.
  • The lead should carry and enforce all company policies, rules, and standard operating procedures across all areas of the company.
  • Supervises wine preparation per instructions on the work order form for bottling, filtering, and filling from tanks in the bottling line area using hoses, pumps, etc.
  • Maintains quality standards by conducting visual inspections and production line operations by solving production problems. Refers questions to Quality Control.
  • Help create and maintain standard operating procedures to create better workflow.
  • Enforces and demonstrates all safety rules for the work area including wearing any Personal Protective Equipment, i.e. safety glasses, gloves, or other equipment necessary to safely perform the job. Report any safety issues to the Safety Coordinator and Manager immediately.
  • Organizes, participates and may conduct safety training meetings. Maintains all safety certifications as necessary.
  • New and ongoing training with staff.
  • Maintain inventory levels of all chemicals, additives, and flavorings, and arrange for the purchase of raw materials.
  • Assist with federal and state inventory records and premises inspections and audits.
  • Maintain winery work order system to ensure every operation is fully documented per Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) regulations, and to ensure quality control. Issue work orders for every task to be performed and ensure completion. Ensures machines are set up properly and running correctly before production.
  • When equipment/machinery is not running properly, submit a work order via “Fiix”.
  • When the Manager is not present, check the weekly tasks to plan and prepare for the week.
  • Check work orders for raw goods and supplies needed for production run.
  • Responsible for maintaining American Sanitation Institute (ASI) standards.
  • Maintain production schedule.
  • Responsible for opening and closing duties of the Cellar per checklists.
  • Comply with all ASI and OSHA guidelines and ensure other employees are following them.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • The employee must frequently climb up and down stairs and ladders.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work may be performed either inside or outside.
