ASSISTANT MANAGER | SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Imagine a company where your sales skills command top dollar in an exciting and dynamic environment. Stoller Family Estate is looking for a wine associate to join our hospitality team. As a member of our diverse and self-motivated team, you will impact our shared goal: to create memorable wine experiences for visitors, wine club members, trade, and VIP guests. We are currently looking for experienced candidates to work full-time hours (40 hours/week). We want applicants with diverse life experiences, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for hospitality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasting Room Assistant Manager provides detailed and personable insights about Stoller Family Estate—including our history, grape-growing and winemaking philosophies, and wines—through personalized tasting experiences and special events. We strive to provide a service-forward experience for every guest based on their individual needs.
We accomplish this together by:
-Leads the daily operations of the Tasting Room to achieve revenue goals, club member growth and ensure the highest.
-Manages daily business operations including but not limited to inventory management of wine, tasting room supplies, beverages and kitchen supplies, shipping, and reporting. -Adjusting service based on social cues and known guest’s preferences before the visit
-Oversees Tasting Room staff development, supervision, and contributes to performance evaluations.
-Hosts individual monthly check-ins with each Tasting Room staff to discuss performance and KPI’s
-Pivots when priorities shift in a quick changing environment and multitasks when needed.
-Respectfully takes direction from managers.
-Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
-Provides outreach with other wineries and represent the winery at industry events.
-Develops monthly sales programs to drive traffic and sales.
-Works independently and oversees a team.

- Anticipating and responding to guest’s dining needs
- Participating in ongoing educational training
- Learning and understanding our CRM, including entering food and beverage orders, updating customer information, and processing payments
- Preparing and maintaining the tasting spaces and restrooms for clean and efficient service
- Serving at a wide variety of catered functions and events
- Opening and closing tasting spaces as needed
- Assisting in other duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year customer service or sales experience in a fast-paced environment
- Age 21+
- A valid, current Oregon Food Handler’s Card
- A valid, current OLCC Servers License
- A valid, current Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Open availability, including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours and lift 40 lbs. throughout shift
