Lemelson Vineyards is seeking a qualified and experienced Cellar Master. Our gravity flow winery, which is located in Carlton, Oregon, finished construction in 1999 and was designed to be a “no compromises” Pinot noir production facility focused exclusively on wine quality. In addition to Pinot noir, we also produce Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot gris sourced from our seven organically farmed, estate vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton, Dundee Hills, and Chehalem Mountain AVAs. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Cellar Master. The primary responsibilities of the Cellar Master include, but are not limited to, conducting all manner of cellar work from grape to bottle, training and directing harvest interns, supervising bottling staff, maintaining cellar and facility equipment and keeping a clean and presentable work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a cellar.
- Strong forklift driving skills.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to do routine facility maintenance.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 55 pounds.
- Able to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Possess a strong work ethic, be detail oriented and trustworthy.
- Have a sense of urgency.
- Be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- A good, can-do attitude and a sense of humor is a major plus.
Pay Scale: Full time with benefits DOE.
Ideal Start Date: As soon as possible.
