Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in Menlo Park is seeking a part-time and a full-time Wine sales associate who has a passion for fine wine and enthusiasm for customer service. Flexibility in scheduling, including early evenings and weekends, is a must. This position reports to the Wine Manager.
Draeger's is a family-owned grocery store that satisfies varied grocery needs of surrounding and far-reaching neighborhoods. We hire the most knowledgeable and qualified personnel capable of consistently meeting our patron’s needs. We offer a fine blend of gourmet, international and natural foods, prepared foods/bakery products, meat, wine, catering, beverages and cookware products.
We are a union store and offer full benefits and paid vacation after one year of employment.
Competitive wage depends upon experience.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):
- Greet each customer with friendly eye contact.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service.
- Consult with customers and answer any wine inquiries.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about wine.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enjoys working with customers.
- Is proactive, quick on their feet, organized and engaged.
- Creates a fun work environment.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of other spirits is a plus.
